Noriko Foundation

Noriko Foundation is a US-based 501c 3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to work as bridge between Japan and USA for quality of education and mutually beneficial business that also influence the other countries positively. Since 2017, we started bringing college students from the US in the cities in Japan to work together and collaborate with the city government, residents, business professionals, and local college students on the regional revitalization/rural development project. College Leadership Program offers college students a real-world experience to apply knowledge and skills learned in school. As interns of the organization, the program participants are involved in various projects related to their academic major. Since 2018, we started a short study abroad program for high school students in the US. This unique program lets participants simulate college life and have academic presentations about their hometown on university campus. We are also cooperating with import/export of excellent products from Japan such as elegant bags made from vintage silk kimono, sparkling wine, and more.

は、日米の教育と地方経済の発展に貢献するために日米両国で活動する非営利団体です。米国のカリフォルニア州を拠点に日米間で活動しています。教育の面では、リーダーシップ・国際性の資質開発を目標とした日米短期留学プログラム、英語でのコミュニケーションスキルの向上を目指した米国短期研修プログラム、米国で学ぶ大学生を対象とした日本での地域創生インターンシッププログラム、ボランティア活動を通して地域に深く関わる地域研修プログラム（日米両国）など、様々な教育プログラムを両国で実施し、相互の文化・学問・芸術の発展や人材の育成に資することを目標としています。ビジネスにおいては、現在、日本の地方創生ために地域企業、行政、学術団体と協働して取り組んでいます。その中の一つとして米国で学ぶ大学生をインターンとして受け入れ、地域学習と地域企業でのインターンシップを通して地方創生のアイデアを創出してもらっています。また、外国人の地域企業への就職も目指しています。さらに日本の「地方」が創出する生産品の需要拡大や生産品開発を目指し、米国市場や世界の市場に輸出して地域産業の活性化と地方経済の発展に寄与することを目標としています。
